ABOUT

The Villages Billiards Club created the Women of the VBC, or WVBC for short, after seeing that the number of women billiards players in the Villages was increasing. It was a way to give women billiards players a voice in new activities and billiards events of interest.

We are best described as a committee whose purpose it is to advocate for the interests of, and give voice to, the female membership of the Villages Billiard Club, as well as the female billiards population of the Villages at large.
Our mission is to encourage increased participation in the sport of billiards by all women in The Villages through increased educational, competitive, and social billiards opportunities.

In February 2015, the VBC held a meeting open to all women billiards players looking for suggestions and asked for volunteers who might be interested in organizing such a group. It was the volunteers who came forward at that meeting that elected a team of seven to lead the WVBC.
The Team is made up of Gale Bellew, chair, Kathy Gittings, Joanne Hawks, Sharon Lomanno, Wendy Lord, Sue Moore, and Annemarie Prioriello.

It is our sincere hope that you will support our efforts by: sharing your billiards interests with us through our ongoing surveys, participating in our events, helping us to bring events to you, and by joining the VBC. Doing so will help direct the WVBC Team’s efforts to enhance our Women’s Billiards Community!
